Job Description

KBRwyle is seeking a Systems Engineer to support tasking at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD. Candidate will provide support to the PMA266 program office performing primarily sustaining systems engineering related tasks and other general support to the In Service Class Desk.

Candidate will perform a wide variety of tasks for the government customer to include requirements analysis and traceability, conduct Analyses of Alternatives, Technology Readiness Level analyses, recommended course(s) of action, drafting acquisition documentation such as ECPs, SOWs, IFCs etc. and recommended issue resolution. Candidate will interface with a variety of integrated team personnel.

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or other scientific or technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. An advanced degree, particularly Systems or Mechanical Engineering and/or graduate of USN or USAF TPS a strong plus.

Experience: A minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated experience in a combination of aircraft test, acquisition and systems engineering and/or military operations is required. Experience with, and knowledge of, the DoD acquisition cycle and methodology, systems engineering technical review cycle, engineering change proposal development, specification and statement of work development, interim flight clearance and NATOPS/NATIP (or equivalent) development is required. Experience with aviation control and sensor systems (radar, EO/IR etc.) is desired. Demonstrated experience at NAVAIR strongly desired. Military aviationexperiencedesired. UAS experience, in particular MQ-8, strongly desired. Familiarity with NAVAIR finance processes and procedures desired.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Candidate must be able to perform research, provide analysis, document findings and determinations and provide associated recommendations. Knowledge of USN correspondence development practices and the ability to write formal engineeringreports and construct briefing materials using MS Office tools such as Word, Power Point and Excel are required. Familiarity with MS Project is required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multitasking team environment.

SECRET clearance is required.
