ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Establish an aggressive regional business plan with the goal of increasing sales and marketshare. Along with the Director of Snowmobiles, the candidate will assess the current status of the business and report quarterly on executed actions and the associated effect on sales and marketshare growth against yearly targets.
2.Establish and maintain regular contacts with all Snowmobile dealerships in assigned region. Become intimately familiar with strengths and weaknesses of every dealer. Along with the District Sales Manager, the Regional Business Director will become a main contact on all Snowmobile related business areas.
3.Responsible for ensuring all dealerships are compliant with company required business standards. This will include ensuring all sales and marketing materials are prominently displayed as appropriate, product selection and displays are well-placed, displays are fresh and effective, dealerships are well-trained on all sides of their business, and dealers are engaged with the business as a whole.
4.Work with analytics to intimately understand each PMA and associated requirements for growth. Ensure the active dealership is ordering applicable products to be effective in their PMA. Will keep close watch on products ordered, inventory turn rates, and associated business metrics of a healthy operation. This position will be active in product move-around strategies to increase region sell-through, along with the District Sales Management team.
5.Manage and recommend additional new dealers in appropriate locations as well as suggested terminations. Will build a greenfield dealer base by region and work tirelessly to achieve the goal. This will include working with low-performing dealers to identify areas of opportunity and growth, executing on objectives to achieve this growth, or initiating termination of dealerships who refuse or are unable to grow. This will be done in tandem with the District Sales Management team.
6.Work with Territory Sales Managers to ensure inventory and orders match PMA requirements for business and marketshare growth along with a healthy dealer. Assist Territory Sales Managers on strategies for effective ordering periods.
7.Attend industry trade shows, fairs, events and dealership open houses within region each year to support Arctic Cat Snowmobile visibility while connecting directly with end-users.
8.Will contribute to program and rebate creation within region, with the goal of ensuring a highly competitive retail offering.
9.Will contribute to marketing/advertising initiatives and provide input to maximize effectiveness within region.
10.Must intimately understand/speak to the competitive features/benefits of Arctic Cat Snowmobiles and how they compare to the competition.
11.Will work closely with other Regional Business Directors to share successful strategies and win as a team.
12.Otherduties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required but is not exhaustive.
1.Strong ability to create relationships with a variety of stakeholders in a short amount of time to include peers, sales people, and dealership principles in team environments.
2.Strong business acumen with attention to data analysis.
3.Ability to fairly analyze and constructively provide feedback to varying audiences.
4.In-depth knowledge of the snowmobile industry and associated products.
5.Ability to communicate and present effectively with dealers, Territory Sales Managers, consumers and company personnel.
6.Ability to set and achieve targets while quickly reacting to changing markets in the pursuit of goals.
7.Ability to travel anywhere, at any time. Position will at times require extensive travel and time on the road.
8.Computer and typing skills necessary, including: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
1.Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred, or a minimum of five years applicable sales or territory management experience required. Sales and business backgrounds are an asset.
2.Must reside in the snow belt of North America.
3.Bi-lingual in French and English would be an asset.
4.Active powersports enthusiasts strongly preferred.
5.Past supervisory/management experience a plus.
