Job Description

This Reliability Engineer position will manage maintenance in a complex industrial setting involving the care of large electrical and mechanical systems. This position will be located at our Springfield, VA location.

Responsibilities include:- Develop and recommend facility reliability improvements through the application of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) tools and processes. - Manage Predictive Test andInspection (PT&I), Condition Based Maintenance (CBM), and continuous monitoring of operational equipment.- Evaluate component failure rates against existing maintenanceschedules.- Provide oversight of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) workgroups.- Recommend updates to RCM related policies and procedures.- Recommend enhancements to existing maintenance tracking systems.

This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. 

Typical Education and Experience:  Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED):- A current active Top Secret U. S.Security Clearance- Ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly U.S.SecurityClearance post-start

- Experience with ReliabilityEngineering

- Experience with Maintenance Management

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- A current active Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly U.S.SecurityClearance

- Experience as a maintenance planner and/or scheduler

- Industry-recognized license or credential such as Certified Plant Engineer (CPE) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)

- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
