Our food manufacturing client is seeking a Human Resources Manager for their South Sioux City, NE facility. Reporting to Regional HR Manager, the HR Manager provides leadership to the HR function serving as the liaison between management and employees at 2 facilities.

Must Have:

*         College degree with an Employee Relations or Human Resources concentration or equivalent experience.

*         3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.

*         Knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations regarding employment practices.

*         Ability to multi-task, deal with employees with diverse backgrounds and good problem solving skills.

*         Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations.

*         Knowledge and experience in human resources policies/practices, benefits, payroll administration and staffing.

 

Key Responsibilities:

*         The Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing work direction for staff employees in manufacturing by setting priorities and objectives, supervising performance of direct reports, conducting performance reviews, and performing other supervisory duties such as coaching, training, and coordinating work assignments.

*         The Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing HR support and advice to Plant Operations management teams in several manufacturing facilities.

*         The Human Resources Manager is responsible for improving the effectiveness of human resource programs by developing strategies to improve employee satisfaction, management-employee relations, and working conditions.

*         The Human Resources Manager is responsible for recruiting and hiring qualified candidates following EEO and ADA hiring guidelines for exempt and non-exempt positions.

*         The Human Resources Manager is responsible for coordinating and interpreting all company policies to assure consistent application and equitable employee relations.

*         The Human Resources Manager is responsible for directing the design and implementation of human resource development programs.

*         The Human Resources Manager is responsible for evaluating training programs.
