At Regions the Program Manager oversees one or more moderately complex projects for multiple business units.
•Assembles teams, assigns responsibilities, develops schedules, determines and acquires resources
•Serves as liaison between project team and functional area
•Develops and manages overall project plans to ensure work is assigned and completed on time
•Maintains ownership during all phases of a project to ensure projects are executed according to plans
•Effectively partners with multi disciplinary teams across the organization to achieve desired project outcomes
•May work with project sponsors and functional owners to organize and lead the implementation of process improvement initiatives
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
•Bachelors degree in Business Management, Finance, Technology or Accounting
•Eight years successful project management related experience (in the financial services or technology field a plus)
•Of the eight years experience, five must be in a supervisory or managerial capacity
•Experience in leading a small team and the ability to lead a team comprised of various project managers and analyst staff as required for larger initiatives
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact with senior business leaders
•Advanced concepts, practices, and procedures for analyzing business processes are required
•Highly motivated with minimal need for direct supervision
•Masters degree in a related field
•Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
