Chief Nursing Officer
Responsible for planning, organizing and directing the overall operations of Nursing Care Services at Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from neonate to geriatric. Assures appropriate competency of all nursing personnel. Serves aspart of the hospital’s senior management team; may act for the Hospital Administrator in his/her absence; provides direct input regarding the organizational structure of the hospital; provides expert professional assistance to hospital executives regarding nursing-related matters; and performs other related duties as assigned. Assists in formulating
the budget for assigned departments and maintains efficient and effective departmental operations while required compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations laws, standards, and protocols.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and 10 years in clinical nursing which includes at least 3 years reflecting progressive nursing leadership level positions OR Graduate of an accredited school of nursing: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, Master’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Care Administration, Management, or Public Administration and 8 years in clinical nursing that includes at least 3 years reflecting progressive nursing leadership level positions.
- A valid, current, full and unrestricted RN license. Must obtain State of Alaska license within 6 months of hire.
- BLS current within 1 month of hire.
