The job:

The Operations Manager will work closely with various teams including PeopleSoft development, financials/business owners, Business Systems Engineering, and many others in managing day-to-day support activities. This manager will oversee multiple resources that provide production support for Business Systems across multiple geographic locations and time zones.


You will:

  • Manage the Business Systems Support Desk by creating and following best practice procedures
  • Manage support staff to ensure appropriate coverage during all required business hours
  • Manage support workload to ensure resources meet timelines and all issues are resolved in an appropriate timeframe
  • Ability to work on support/development items in addition to managing support staff
  • Facilitate multiple project implementations to confirm staff has a full understanding of support requirements and components migrate to production successfully
  • Provide process support ensuring all jobs run as scheduled ( daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) and completely successfully
  • Manage adjustments in job scheduling, calendar changes, and researching/assigning any problems/faillures.
  • Support the change management process for all changes affecting Business Systems (e.g. disaster recovery exercises, software upgrades, production migrations, etc.)
  • Support all aspects of the onboarding process of new employees/consultants for Business Systems
  • Partner with business owners for improved process understanding and increased efficiencies
  • Support SOX compliance within Business Systems, including the review and approval process
  • Ensure SLAs are valid and monitored for compliance
  • Recommend process improvements

 

You are:

  • Experienced with 3-5 years of PeopleSoft Financials development experience; 3-5 years of experience in Finance Business Systems a plus
  • Highly motivated with good customer relationship and support skills
  • A quick learner with an ability to learn new technology and concepts quickly with excellent analytical/technical aptitude
  • Multi-tasker who can easily juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptable:experience working in a globally distributed team is a plus
  • Objective-oriented with dedication and commitment to job duties
  • A clear communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Discreet and know the importance of maintaining confidentiality
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project; SharePoint is a plus)
  • Educated with a Bachelors’ Degree in Information Technology or equivalent background
