Responsible for generating a meaningful volume of new commercial finance clients. Develops referral sources within Colorado geographic region; analyzes prospective clients and ascertains the extent of the servicing packages required. Associates are capable of handling the most complex types of commercial finance transactions. Ability to originate and execute large and core middle market transactions is a plus.
The role of the BDO is to identify, develop and close new business opportunities. In addition to direct calling on companies, the BDO will develop external sources to ensure complete coverage of their assigned market area, including investment bankers, consultants, accounting firms and private equity groups. The role also leverages the Bank of America franchise by developing internal referral sources within the Corporate and Investment Bankingchannels and other bank product areas. Travel is required to visit prospects and referral sources (20% or less). This position will be filled as Business Development Officer or a Senior Business Development Officer commensurate with experience, skill set and referral network.
- Must have direct calling experience at the CEO, CFO and MD level.
- Three to five years related industry experience in Investment Banking, Commercial Banking or Asset Based Lending are required.
- Degree in Finance, Business or related area is required. MBA is desirable.
