McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), non-tenure clinical track Assistant / AssociateProfessor - Otology-Neurotology in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology.
In this role, we are seeking an academically motivated, full-time faculty member with training in otology-neurotology to compliment the current faculty.
The selected candidate will contribute to the department’s mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other service.
Position Key Accountabilities:
The successful candidate as Assistant / AssociateProfessor in Otorhinolaryngology will be committed to patient care, resident, fellow, and medical studenteducation and clinical and collaborative research.
Individuals must demonstrate excellence in clinical medicine, teaching and scholarly activities during their training and practice.
This is a unique opportunity for those interested in academic otorhinolaryngology with a specific interest in otology-neurotology. Approximately 50-60% of the position will be based at the Department's clinic at Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital (part of Harris Health).
The remaining 20% will be at the Department's Texas Medical Center office. Fellowship training in otology-neurotology is preferred (but not required). Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
The selected candidate for the position must have a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License, be board certified in Otorhinolaryngology or board eligible.
