Business Development Manager - Bay Area

Lighthouse Associates is a nationally recognized recruiting company that assists technology companies throughout the Country with attracting World Class sales talent to their teams.  Currently, we are in the process of helping a profitable SaaS company hire a talented salesperson in the Bay Area to cover a local territory and grow business within target mid to enterprise sized companies across all verticals. 

Responsibilities from a home based office will include strategic selling (in depth prospecting, needs analysis, and closing) the company’s offerings with deals ranging from $50K-$200K plus.  Typical sales cycle will be anywhere from 30 days to 6 months or more with call points at the C level as well as Marketing Executive level across all vertical markets.

In order to be considered for this position the candidate MUST possess:

-"Hunter" mentality with proven ability to prospect in a territory.   Prospecting will be a major portion of the position, therefore candidate must possess a solid understanding of metrics associated with prospecting, pipeline development and qualification of opportunities.  Current or prior sales experience within large B-B companies (Payroll services, copiers) where prospecting was a must is extremely desirable.

-Proven sales success within software (Content management, eCommerce, Marketing Automation, etc.) or web based solutions is preferred.

-Experience selling into marketing departments and/or advertising agencies is highly preferred.

-Strategic selling expertise with specific sales training in Miller Heiman or Sandler preferred.

-Ability to work independently out of a home based office.
