If so, consider that Pri-Med, an M|C Holdings Corp brand, is looking for a Director of Sales to lead, manage, and develop our Conference & Exhibition Sales team. 


 


Pri-Med Conference & Exhibition, our flagship live convention program, is held in 7 major US health care markets. Over the course of each 3-day conference, clinicians have the opportunity to earn CME credits, attend industry-supported symposia, and meet with health care representatives spanning a variety of industries. Together, these 7 conferences provide health care organizations with access to over 35,000 active PCPs.


 


The Director of Sales will be responsible for managing a team of inside and direct sales professionals selling exhibit space and sponsorships for the Company’s Conference & Exhibition events to existing clients and prospective exhibitors.  Travel is required.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Manage a sales team that is working with both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical exhibitors to grow them in total spend (exhibit space and sponsorships) at the Company’s Conference and Exhibition events

  • Support and mentor the sales staff through the entire sales process, including appointments and calls with product managers and convention managers

  • Develop a comprehensive Sponsorship Sales Program that drives new revenue

  • Strategically manage the re-signing of existing exhibitors and past sponsors

  • Develop presentations to explain the value proposition for investing in product booths as well sponsorship opportunities to maximize client exposure at our shows

  • Mange the use of competitive shows as a lead generation activity

  • Manage sales pipeline and provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to executive management

  • Prepare annual revenue and sales budgets, including an account growth strategy

  • Maintain sales expenses within allocated budget

  • Constantly evaluate talent and drive performance


 


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • 10+ years sales and sales management experience in a convention/large conference environment

  • Demonstrated record of success in a direct sales role

  • Experience developing, motivating and leading successful sales teams

  • Familiarity with sales training methodology and CRM systems

  • Ability to perform in a highly results-oriented environment

  • Strong oral and written presentation skills and strong organizational skills are essential
