Position Summary: 


Account Managers ensure that Patni captures cross-sell/up-sell opportunities across the entire range of Patni capabilities.  Identifies key relevant areas of opportunity at clients, develops relationships with corresponding influencers and buyers, and effectively closes new business, maintaining account sales plans and accurate revenue forecasts.


 


Role & Responsibilities:



  • Be the advocate for your client



  • Lead the selling effort at your client



  • Increase Patni’s presence at your client



  • Co-ordinate closely with Delivery Managers/Project Managers at the account for identifying opportunities and orchestrate/close sales



  • Understand your client’s key initiatives and where Patni can effectively compete and where we can not



  • Understand your client’s organization, decision process, political environment, and competitive landscape to maximize Patni’s chances of winning



  • Meet or exceed your quota by closing increasingly profitable opportunities



  • Continuously build your opportunity backlog



  • Opportunity management and forecasting



  • Maintaining pipeline, revenue and status of opportunities in CRM system


Position Requirements:



  • 10+ years of sales/business development experience having strong client interfacing responsibility



  • Experience selling global IT Consulting Services to life sciences clients (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device companies)



  • Strong communication skills, articulate and effective presentation skills



  • Proven track record building trusted client relationships



  • Ability to build a solution roadmap with the client considering strategic business objectives



  • Ability to write quality proposals and craft RFP responses



  • Proficient using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
