JOB DESCRIPTION
The best candidates will be able to demonstrate proven sales success for 5-10 years in the technology industry. The best candidates will have proven sales skills in the UNIX server environment and pre-existing client relationships in the twin cities/ Upper Midwest geography.
The Account Executive will be expected to annually achieve a gross profit objective.
The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following activities:
- Create and close sales opportunities.
- Team with other Account Executives.
- Drive attendance to customer events.
- Earn business relationships with new customer accounts.
- Work leads from vendor partners.
- Learn IBM’s pSeries server and AIX operating system platform.
- Drive and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Learn, understand and perform sales in compliance with company and vendor standards.
- Earn sales certification status by IBM and possibly other vendor product platforms.
- Develop proposals.
- Prepare and conduct presentations.
- Forecast sales opportunities.
- Log customer activity into a customer relationship management package.
