Enterprise Sales Manager Job Description
Summary:
- Responsible for managing a team selling Ethernet, Internet, Voice and TV services to Enterprise customers ranging from 20-500 employees as well as Medical and Education institutions.
- Ensure competence and continuity of qualified Enterprise Account Executives through optimum selection, training and development, appraisal and motivation techniques.
- Ensure team and individual rep achievement of all sales, plus quality, goals and standards.
- Ensure accurate forecasting of all required sales metrics
- Consistently monitor employee performance, counsel and advise to ensure compatibility, maximum effectiveness, and continued growth.
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain records of individual, as well as group, sales and performance activities relative to business goals and objectives.
- Design, implement, and manage overall territory team structure
- Develop, plan and coordinate sale promotions and incentives to meet business goals and objectives.
- Candidate must have strong closing abilities.
- Coordinate efforts with other internal teams and groups throughout regional system to insure effectiveness and efficiency.
- Candidate must develop and implement best practices that contribute to improved performance and overall success.
- Candidates must address personnel issues/performance issues in accordance with Company Policy.
- Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage the sales team’s efforts to maximize sales revenues and meet assigned objectives.
- Coach, develop, appraise and motivate individual sales representatives to achieve and exceed assigned objectives
- Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue and unit numbers.
- Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth and attainment of objectives in all company’s products/services.
- Develop territories, territory management plans, and sales support strategies.
- Assure optimal sales team staffing and training readiness of sales professionals:
- Interview, hire, and terminates sales professionals.
- Assure compliance with organizational training requirements.
- Leverage personal experience/know how to educates sales professionals in sales planning tactics to support their Enterprise success.
- Maintains expertise on company’s products/services to effectively manage sales activities.
- Establish partnerships and coordinate efforts with other internal organizations to insure maximum effectiveness of the sales organization.
Minimum Qualifications for Hire:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or marketing or equivalent training in business or sales management.
- 5+ years experience in business-to-business services sales.
- 3+ years of managing a successful business to business outside sales team.
- Excellent written and oral communications, interpersonal skills and planning and organizational skills.
- Experience with processing and analyzing of data.
- Proficiency with the Internet and Microsoft Office Software.
- Must be a team player, able to handle ambiguity, anticipate and react to changes quickly.
