Contractor Account Manager

• Growing sales faster than the market growth rate and achieving sales objectives.
• Successfully develop and implement local programs in promoting Rain Bird turf products.
• Train and educate irrigation contractors on Rain Bird’s turf products, their application and key benefits.
• Participation in product demo days, road shows, contractor fly-ins, tradeshows and regional meetings.
• Develop and execute sales and training efforts with the Distributor Manager, Area Specification Managers and key distributors to secure Rain Bird turf sales.
• Make field visits to turf sites in order to sell, educate and/or troubleshoot.
• Strive to differentiate Rain Bird from its competitors by providing superior customer service, high visibility and aggressive call coverage cycle.
• Assist the Product Managers in determining product needs.
• Maintain and utilize contractor data base for direct marketing and communication efforts.
• This position requires approximately 30% overnight travel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.A. or B.S. Degree.
• 8+ years sales experience and a proven ability to sell.
• Strong selling, communication and general business skills.
• Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets and database applications.
• Sales Management experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Irrigation Design, Installation, Repair, and Product Application Knowledge.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish (written & verbal).
• MBA or graduate degree.
