ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND

BeyondTrust is the only provider of Privileged Access Lifecycle Management (PALM) solutions for heterogeneous IT environments. The BeyondTrust PowerSeries™ suite of products reduces the risks associated with insider sabotage and theft of proprietary data, while documenting accountability to support increasing demands of regulatory compliance required across many industries.

PALM is a technology architecture framework consisting of four continual stages running under a centralized automated platform: Access to privileged resources, Control of privileged resources, Monitoring of actions taken on privileged resources, and Remediation to revert changes made on privileged IT resources to a known good state.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Vice President of Sales should be a high energy, critical thinker who is capable of leading a sales team and executing the company go to market model.  The position is responsible for the overall coordination, functional management, and leadership of a team of sales professionals.   The VP of Sales will define and manage monthly/annual sales objectives for their team.  Must have knowledge of the identity and access software market, industry trends, competitors, customer needs, and go to market strategies.  In addition, the VP will be expected to lead, manage, motivate and mentor the sales team and provide the necessary tools to gain competitive edge in the market.  This position will report to the Executive Vice President Worldwide Field Operations.

•    Defines and set sales strategy for team while working closely with direct reports to ensure proper implementation, follow-up and follow-through of strategy
•    Successfully manages and engages the team in software sales and solution selling involving compelling value propositions based on ROI cost/benefit analysis
•    Executes sales process and strategy for new customers
•    Provide organizational leadership, business strategy and execute a go to market model
•    Grow top line revenues
•    Define and manage monthly/annual sales goals
•    Build and manage an energetic, focused, and activity driven world class sales team
•    Spend significant portion of time with individual reps to ensure deep account penetration to maintain and grow existing business
•    Promote high “activity” and “hunting” mentality among all sales team members
•    Develop and maintain effective relationships making sure expectations are met through proactive problem identification and resolution strategies  
•    Oversee administrative sales functions including maintenance of customer database, integrity of pricing, tracking of bid projects, and forecasting future results
•    Perform performance reviews for each member of sales team


QUALIFICATIONS

•    7+ years in sales management in the software industry
•    Consultative selling experience, including knowledge of latest selling trends
•    Strong leadership qualities with customers and employees  
•    Experience developing and executing tactical sales plans including quotas and account objectives
•    Highly organized and effective time management skills
•    Consistent track record of over-achievement
•    Strong negotiating skills

EDUCATION

The candidate must have a Bachelors degree with an advanced degree from a world class educational institution.
