Job Description:
The East Region Enterprise Partner Group (EPG) Alliance Partner Account Manager (APAM) role is undergoing an exciting change. The New York Metro EPG business has a new position available for a high performing individual to play a major part in driving the strategy to further engage Alliance partners, and leading ISVs, into the business win strategy.

Major - 75% of your time
The APAM will work with theh Account Team Unit (ATU) they are aligned with to help them drive their Deployment and Compete initiatives. Further, the individual’s responsibility will be to work on behalf of their account teams to come up with creative partner approaches to gain entry to the lines of business and C-suites within their accounts. Each ATU has 20-25 accounts, the person in this role will be mapped to not more than 2 ATUs. The APAM will carry a quota like accountability for things like: Deployment benefit activation, Proof of Concepts and Line of Business Solution Area Wins.

Minor - 25% of your time
Sales and Operational Excellence are required of the individual in this role. For example, the individual hired will need to dig into the business and understand the key growth levers by account. To ensure Microsoft wins, the APAM also needs to make sure that the account teams they cover understand who their “customer’s partners” are and how they can be best leveraged to drive Deployment and Compete. As is the case with all sales roles this person will be responsible for keeping CRM up to date and for submitting their expenses once a month for review and approval.

To be deemed a viable candidate for this high impact position, the individual needs to have a demonstrated track record of success in sales, partner led sales, partner management and executive relationship building. The individual also must demonstrate a strong grasp of solution selling preferably from experience they garnered working in the enterprise business applications space. Superior oral/written communication & listening skills are also a must given the diverse role types this individual must engage with. Strong teamwork skills are also required to successfully work in what is a highly matrixed environment. Other required experiences & qualifications include: 10 years IT industry experience (minimum 5 years in senior roles); 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
