JOB DESCRIPTION

Lead a team that will maximize revenue and sales of online legal and compliance products to Fortune 500 companies, top private companies and other large corporations.  Create and implement national strategy to maximize sales and revenue growth of legal and regulatory products and solutions in the highest opportunity accounts in the corporate market, particularly focusing on Fortune 500 companies.  Effectively manage teams and individuals to peak performance in new sales, revenue growth and share gain versus competitors.  Drive sales of new and specialized strategic products, particularly for regulatory compliance.  Contribute to the overall management and strategy of the corporate channel.


 


Major Areas of Accountability/ Responsibility



  •  Increase sales and revenue of legal, regulatory, compliance and transactional products to major corporations, focusing on the general counsel and other appropriate departments. 

  • Lead and recruit a team of Enterprise Account Executives and Senior Client Managers to retain, acquire and grow national customers. 

  • Lead a team of Regional Field Managers and their teams of Enterprise Account Executives and Senior Client Managers to drive retention and growth in an existing base of national accounts.

  •  Outstanding leadership ability demonstrated by directing high performing teams to exceed their goals in a complex selling environment with Fortune 500 or similar entities

  • Ambitious self-starter with high energy and motivation

  • Effective time management skills

  • Outstanding sales and negotiation skills, particularly with online or internet based products and services

  • Outstanding high-level presentation and communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of sales concepts, methods and techniques

  • Strategic thinking skills; Ability to plan and execute national program strategies

  • Ability to recruit and motivate sophisticated teams of high performers, and to hire, “onboard,” and manage performance effectively

  • Understanding of legal and regulatory needs of corporate general counsel  and other departments in major companies

  • Ability to focus on and understand customer needs in a dynamic and complex environment

  • Ability to travel to customer locations, as necessary

  • Proficient in MS Office and Internet


Education/ Experience 



  • BS or BA required; advanced degree, particularly JD or MBA preferred

  • 10-12 years in a successful sales or account management role in a strategic or national accounts environment with Fortune 500 companies or similar large entities, with at least 5 years in a significant strategy setting role with management responsibility

  • Experience selling and managing the sales of online or internet based products, preferably in a legal or regulatory context.

  • Ability to frequently travel nationally
