The Manager Business Development (MBD) Middle Market Select Accounts will be responsible for the generation of new sales, cross sell, and retention in the Middle Market Select segment which specializes in accounts $3 - $10MM in air volume and includes some global or multi-national accounts. The candidate must have a proven track record in middle market and multi-national sales and thought leadership. Candidate must also have experience in global vision, knowledge of technology solutions; have strong industry reputation, knowledge of the specific client base and ability to sell client-specific solutions.

The Manager, Business Development will provide global integrated solutions both online and offline to help corporations manage and optimize their spend/investment through process savings, purchasing savings and travelers experience whenever they need it across the world either directly or through partnership.

The MBD Middle Market Select will set the strategic direction for bids and participate in key customer strategy & negotiations that will yield top-line growth for Corporate Travel Sales along with driving the sales cycle. The Manager, Business Development will also build and maintain strong relationship with key internal stakeholders, along with building and developing senior level client contracts. The ability to work and contribute in a team approach is key. Additional duties include the participation and relationship building in procurement tradeshows.


 


• 5+ years industry experience and strong track record in B2B sales.
• Proven results [i.e. consistently achieving revenue goals]
• Pipeline Management & Account Planning: Disciplined approach to prioritizing multiple accounts and knows how to best allocate time and resources
• Demonstrates a good understanding of margins and financial impact of pricing; uses costs and margins to determine ROI.
• Has in-depth knowledge of economic issues and how these impact the market, customer organizations, and sales strategy
• Ability to collaborate in constructive confrontation across band levels to transform the business model
• Ability to collaborate and influence internally and externally
• Strong financial acumen
• Self starter - ability to succeed in a virtual environment
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent technical skills including a working knowledge of Excel, Webex, MS Word, Power Point, & Internet Explorer.
• Negotiation skills.
• Ability to travel frequently is required.
• Candidates must reside in Missouri in order to be considered for this opportunity.
