TITLE: Director of Sales, West Region
REPORTS TO: Vice President – Sales & Business Development
LOCATION: Denver, Los Angeles, Chicago or Dallas
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Sales Director will be responsible for delivering the Zynx annual revenue growth targets (net new, install base and renewal) through comprehensive support and leadership of the West Region Sales Managers

Essential job functions and responsibilities
- Coach and mentor the Region Sales Manager team in support of their commercial activities via structured operating mechanisms (weekly funnel reviews, growth calls, precise forecasting, QMI) and through frequent, regular customer visits.
- Create a high-performing team, leading all aspects of key talent retention, skills development, performance management and staffing (recruiting, hiring and training).
- Create and execute detailed individual annual business, coaching and performance plans. Support Zynx and Hearst Business Media initiatives and HR related processes.
- Drive strategic business and marketing activities.
- Own key customer and partner relationships in support of new and existing large or strategic opportunities.
- Coordinate the effective utilization of Zynx resources (Medical Affairs, Client Services, ZynxCare, leadership and other functions) in the sales cycle.
- Develop and leverage industry and competitive expertise, providing insightful coaching for your peers and direct reports. Share structured and timely feedback on market conditions and competitive activities.
- Lead and support initiatives for the increased efficiency and effectiveness of the entire commercial team (sales process standardization, competency and skills development, matrix distribution deployment).
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of direct management of diverse sales teams covering large territories.
- Ability to successfully manage complex, clinical software sales processes with demonstrated expertise in prospecting and business development.
- Experience with Healthcare IT systems sales, and through channel partners.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal with a passion coaching and mentoring preferred.
- Presentation skills, executive presence and domain credibility essential.
- Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills (with special emphasis on coaching direct reports to successfully close sales).
Education
- BS/BA required. Degree in a medical field (Nursing, Medical Technology, Pre-med) a plus.
- Graduate technical/clinical degree or MBA highly desirable.
Other Requirements
- Significant travel required.
COMPENSATION
Excellent base salary and variable compensation plan for meeting and exceeding sales and corporate targets.
