JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for supporting the Sales division on key business initiatives and management of overall business operations and for providing high-level executive business support for senior leadership. This role is also responsible for working with senior leadership in planning, developing and executing around key business initiatives, as well as leading special projects as directed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for developing and managing a yearly sales-wide operations plan. Responsible for taking the yearly sales goals, campaign plan and sales strategic initiatives and identifying and aligning appropriate operational projects and initiatives, sales events, reporting, operational budget, leadership activities, training and development of staff and communication planning.
Responsible for facilitating the development of the Sales strategic plans for staffing, documenting and communicating of plans to appropriate stakeholders. Responsible for leading special projects and assignments as directed.
Provides executive support in communication planning and development. Develops and executes a yearly communication plan. Also develops speaking points and content for business meetings and events. Serves as the project manager and planner for all sales meetings.
Works in conjunction with other managers to lead sales-wide projects and coordinate operational events and efforts.
Possesses and maintains in-depth business knowledge of company. Meet with internal stakeholders to resolve complex business issues.
Actively engages with the sales management team regarding key business initiatives; makes appropriate recommendations and takes necessary steps on behalf of executive leadership in order to achieve successful business results.
Represents sales leadership and product meetings and through the company as needed or requested on behalf of executive leadership.
Develops close working relationships with other members of the sales management team to successfully attain sales goals and objectives.
Stays abreast of existing and emerging corporate and sales division information technologies and systems to assess their impact on the business needs of the segments and sales operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge:
Experience developing, leading and managing across multiple business areas.
Proven success and experience in collaborating and influencing multiple functions and groups to achieve desired sales/financial goals.
Skills/Abilities:
Strong communication skills demonstrated both in writing and verbally; ability to communicate on behalf of senior management.
Proven ability to prioritize, lead and manage multiple projects and tasks to successful completion; strong project management experience required.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, strong business acumen required.
Strong time-management, planning and problem solving skills.
Experience in Microsoft Office suite, spreadsheets, graphic software, and Internet/Intranet applications.
Ability to travel up to 30%
Experience/Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Insurance or related field or an equivalent trade-off of related professional work experience.
Six to eight years of progressive project management experience and sales or sales management/supervisory experience strongly preferred
