15+ years insurance market sales/production underwriting and management experience.
Sales operation and analysis experience
Ideal experience: Underwriting and sales management
Technical A&H underwriting and field experience
A proven track record of driving increased sales, developing relationships, growing market share and increasing profitability.
Ability to help develop a high performance sales organization in a "matrixed" environment.
Willingness to travel as needed.
A high degree of energy, innovation, reliability, and organization.
Excellent computer, interpersonal and communication skills.

Description:
Chartis has an opportunity for a VP, Sales Operations in its Group Division.
Reporting to, and in partnership with, the SVP, Group Division, actively promote a sales driven, customer focused, performance-oriented culture throughout the Group organization:
Key responsibilities:
This individual will have multi-regional oversight for our Group Managers and Development Underwriters in key regions. He/she will be responsible for developing sales strategy in conjunction with the Regional Group Managers, ensuring that the DUs are operating levels, sales initiatives are executed properly, call plans are effective, KPIs are complied with, quantitative measurements are in place, and current systems are utilized to their full potential for pipeline development and management.
Sales Effectiveness:
Develop and implement measurable regional sales strategy and key tactical initiatives.
Travel required for on-sight visits with internal (matrix) and external (brokers) partners to help effect business alignment and growth.
Work with Marketing, PD, Customer Service and Claims to continually refine product mix and market positioning
Underwriting Expertise:
Provide appropriate level of technical guidance for structuring larger deals and multinationals.
Learning and Development of the DUs:
Actively participate in the New Hire Orientation for all market-facing personnel.
Assess training and development needs.
Enhance performance management and focus.
Design and implement extensive needs-based training program.
Streamlining and Introduction of New Business Processes and Tools:
Constantly assess business needs of the DUs and introduce new business process and initiatives to enhance performance.
Miscellaneous Duties:
Work with members of the Leadership Team to meet its broader objectives.
Other duties as assigned.
