JOB DESCRIPTION
The School Education Group, a division of McGraw-Hill Education, has an opening for an Inside Sales Manager in Columbus, OH.   Responsibilities:
  • Designing and developing strategic initiatives for the Inside Sales team to maintain, grow, and service new and existing accounts through direct marketing, including web and e-mail based initiatives as well as by phone and direct mail.  Attendance and marketing activities at selected educational exhibits and conferences will also be required.
  • Working with outside sales team, marketing and editorial to share market and product feedback and ideas to help achieve assigned sales goals.
  • Interviewing, hiring and training new inside sales representatives and providing ongoing staff development.
  • Strategically planning and directing work during all parts of the selling cycle, including directing creative, effective sales and marketing plans for individual reps and the department as a whole.
  • Preparing written performance reviews, providing daily coaching and feedback to the team, and addressing and resolving escalated customer issues.
  • Preparing, analyzing, and utilizing departmental statistical reports to monitor and track sales performance, adjust sales efforts as needed and do accurate sales forecasting.
  • Manage departmental budgets effectively.
Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelors degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years sales experience, preferably with educational products.
  • A minimum of 3 years management experience, with proven results in building and mentoring a successful sales staff
  • Demonstration of exceptional leadership ability and experience forming solid relationships at all levels.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills are required.
  • Must be goal-oriented, positive, a self-starter, with strong financial and analytical skills.  
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and be able to drive successful e-marketing campaigns.  
  • Limited overnight travel will be required.

  • Knowledge of CRM SalesForce.com
