JOB DESCRIPTION

TVG Network, the official TV and Interactive Wagering Partner of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) and a subsidiary of Betfair Group, LTD, is amongst the most widely distributed horseracing networks in the world. TVG viewers, in certain areas, can wager interactively on races via telephone, the internet, TVG mobile or interactive television by establishing a wagering account.


We are currently seeking a Key Account Program Director to implement a customer relations VIP program and direct a nationwide team, based in Los Angeles, CA.


 


The Key Account Program Director is responsible for the development and strategic direction of TVG’s Key Accounts Program.  The program objective is to foster premier relationships with assigned key account holders as well as recruitment and development of new key accounts.


This position is responsible for developing programs to educate key account holders regarding TVG services and will be the primary liaison between key account holders and TVG business units; identifying and qualifying opportunities to optimally satisfy client needs/concerns while meeting Company objectives; and coordinating resources internally to execute proper delivery to account holders. This position is responsible for recruitment, training and oversight of TVG’s key account representative team. 


 


Essential Functions:


 


Develop and provide strategic direction for  TVG’s Key Account Program


Develop key account marketing and revenue optimization strategies


Directly manage key relationships with existing and potential clients with a view to leverage further business and increase account activity


Build and maintain premium relationships with key account holders


Ensure maximization of revenue while assisting key account holders to meet individual business goals.


Assess and report on key account program results


Provide feedback to marketing colleagues on efficacy of marketing strategies and tactics, and customer experience of the products and services offered


Meet with VIP account holders at various events throughout region


Represent TVG at sponsored or other designated events.


Promote TVG customer good will, educate customers on TVG products and attend TVG sponsored events. 


Remain on call for VIP account holders 24/7.


Recruitment, development and management of the activities of regional key account representatives  


 


Qualifications:


Knowledge of pari-mutuel wagering preferred.


Must be a self starter and problem solver.


Must possess well developed business acumen.


Ability to multi-task and handle numerous assignments simultaneously

Strong leadership skills and the ability to take initiative


Excellent verbal, telephone, and written communication skills


Ability to work well in a team environment


A professional, positive and enthusiastic attitude


Good interpersonal and negotiation skills


Must have reliable transportation.


Must be willing to travel extensively


Experience/Training/Education/Certification:


Ten years work experience in premier customer relationship programs supporting key accounts; 5 years experience in a management level role.


Knowledge and understanding of the horse racing industry required


Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and databases preferred


Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university required
