JOB DESCRIPTION

Outside Sales Representative position with a $1.45B subsidiary of a Global Fortune 500 $8 Billion specialty company. 

 

 

This is an outside sales position selling business benefits to small and medium sized companies. The rep will receive a book of business upon hire and will be responsible for growing the accounts—this is purely a relationship sale! This is a high-activity position with expectations to see 15 accounts per week.

 

The company is an industry leader based on the national number of contracts in force. During the recession, they have remained prosperous by experiencing positive growth and expanding into new territories! Our client has strong financial ratings-- they are rated Excellent by AM Best and A (Strong) by Standard & Poor’s.

 




  • Wine and dine clients—company credit card provided.

  • Over 80 of 160 reps earned President’s Club trip last year

  • Top rep earned $341k, median rep with 3 or more years experience earned $155k

  • Top rookie rep earned $212k, top 2nd year rep earned $219k with average 2nd year rep earning $130k

  • Turnover in 2007 was only 16.5% nationally

 

 

 

$60K to $90K base plus uncapped commissions. Reps will also receive a car allowance, full benefits package, cell, lap top, expense account, etc.

 

 

 

They are in the TOP 5 in all product lines in the industry.  The latest marketing data suggests that my client is tapping into less than 50% of their distribution channel in the US (avg).  This untapped market presents a huge growth opportunity.

 

 

 

 

Requirements


  • 4-10 years outside b2b sales experience

  • Top 20% documented sales success (% to quota, rankings, awards)

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Stable employment history (no job hoppers)
