Solution Architect / Business Liaison - MLP_P3109

This is a newly created technical/functional position working directly for an Insurance company that provides critical risk management solutions for health care practices across the U.S.   The perfect candidate will be an RN who has a strong technology background.  This position will require a candidate to have a good blend of healthcare and technical expertise. Experience working in Quality Assurance, tracking numbers, producing reports and taking a more proactive approach to help prevent loss and to reduce risks. 

You will need to demonstrate a solid understanding and working knowledge of custom applications and business process and knowledge. Knowledge of and experience with Business Objects, Crystal Reports, SAS and SQL data base.   A knowledge of how technical solutions are implemented; data storage, experience creating functional and technical specs using healthcare terminology.  You will provide project and customer management skills and will have an ability and interest to communicate with high level medical professionals and to interact with the technology developers and other systems people within the organization.

You will manage technology projects through an SDLC methodology, interpreting clinical data such as utilization statistics and map to clinical processes to identify trends and correlations.  You will translate analytic methods into user requirements for information solutions and offer recommendations that align to the overall corporate strategy and present trade offs of various solutions. You will define project direction, scope, risks, contingencies, staffing and sequencing of activities.  You will plan and deliver IT projects collaboratively and successfully and will leverage business/technical interpretation skills to translate technical complexity into business context.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications include degree in nursing or medical coding (ICD-9)or equivalent certification or experience.  6+ years of experience in the healthcare/insurance related field in a position of case manager/business consultant/solution architect or combination of these.  Experience delivering distributed/web, custom/package product implementation in a matrix environment.
