JOB DESCRIPTION

Coleman Natural Foods, LLC., with its Corporate office located in the Denver West Office Park - Lakewood, CO, offers a wide variety of premium natural and organic meats (chicken, pork, sausage).  Our animals are fed a strictly all-vegetarian diet and are never subjected to antibiotics or growth hormones.  In addition, our animals are raised on ranches and farms dedicated to environmentally sound, friendly growing practices.

BASIC FUNCTIONS


 


Operates in a senior sales capacity and is responsible for the dollar sales volume and profit delivery for products produced and authorized for sale by Coleman Natural Foods, including but not limited to fresh poultry, pork and prepared foods.


 


               PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Coordinates with company’s OPCO’s to ensure the timely sales and delivery of products to customers. 

  • Directly manages West Coast Regional Sales Managers and oversees their activity including customer presentations, broker management and sales goals attainments. Motivates, hires, trains, and provides leadership to ensure subordinates are properly equipped to be successful in their positions.

  • Effectively manages regional sales administration and travel budget as contained in the annual operating plan and subsequent updates.

  • Forecasts associated sales by product line for the OPCO’s and submits forecasts as required.

  • Meets sales volumes objectives, new business development initiatives, and profit goals as projected in the annual operating plan and subsequent updates.

  • Manages the senior level sales planning and execution process of assigned accounts. Manages and directs assigned account strategies, vision and sales objectives.

  • Has a leadership role as a strategic partner to Divisional Presidents, Directors of Sales, Marketing leadership, and VP GM’s, to develop and execute against expected sales dollars, volume and profit plans.

  • Promotes timely and effective communications with all Coleman Natural Foods team members required to execute sales efforts, including operations and finance.

  • Oversees and maintains excellent relationships with all customers on behalf of Coleman Natural Foods.

  • Maintains ability to travel extensively when needed, travel includes by air and overnight.

  • Assists with special projects as required.


                EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/JOB TRAINING


  


A minimum of ten (10) years perishable grocery experience required, coupled with extensive west coast customer contacts. Experience driving sales of chicken, and other proteins in retail accounts desired. Proven experience in communicating effectively and leading multiple sales managers and food brokers required. Possess a sense of urgency for selling on a short term basis. Ability to work with all levels of management.  Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, including the ability to manage priorities and workflow. Proven leadership and business acumen skills required. Must be committed to excellence and high standards. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.  Ability to travel required. Proficient in Microsoft Office environments, including Excel and PowerPoint.  Position typically requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
