The VP Sales, Consumer Media will have responsibility for non-real estate related ad revenue on Move’s network of real estate sites, including Realtor.com.  The VP Sales will be the sales team leader for a national sales team of approximately 12 field based sales representatives and an inside sales team for the moving.com channel. Duties will include managing the team and assisting with prospecting, selling and developing key relationships with national advertisers and ad agencies in support of revenue objectives.


 


This position will be based out of our Westlake Village or Campbell, CA locations



Expectations will include:



  • Hiring, developing and leading top sales talent to maximize and improve sales revenue through aggressive positioning, effective use of research/sales marketing tools and creative sales presentation techniques.

  • Develop a sales strategy and aggressive sales plan metrics designed to create accountability and meet Company revenue goals

  • Recommend and implement compensation plans and quotas in line with budgeted revenue achievement

  • Manage and grow existing advertiser and agency relationships

  • Identify and develop strategic relationships with key decision makers at targeted accounts

  • As part of leadership team, ideate, develop and collaboratively share product expertise and client/industry needs and trends with product development and service/operations leaders to deliver targeted products to clients efficiently; lead development of sale strategies based on current and developing client needs


The successful candidate will have:



  • Established relationships in media advertising networks and in-depth knowledge of the online media industry

  • Strong performance management and coaching skills along with a proven track record of attracting, developing and managing talent to create a high performance team.

  • A proven ability to plan, develop and execute online sales strategies and deliver results in challenging market conditions

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills with particular emphasis on presentation, analytical and sales expertise, and negotiation techniques

  • Seasoning and maturity as a proven team player who can interact effectively with product and operations teams to provide insight into client needs and promote delivery of an effective advertiser experience

  • Strong problem solving abilities

  • Experience with Salesforce and/or Dart Sales Manager a plus
