General Summary
Manages all aspects of prospect development pre-sale through to closing and, in most cases, continues to manage the client relationship for a period of time. As appropriate, ensures a transparent transition of the client to a Client Advisor. Focuses on defining and interpreting the insurance needs of a prospect and identifying solutions to address these needs.
Essential Functions
Client
· Gathers necessary information from prospect in order to prepare comprehensive risk evaluation and proposal.
· Reviews the prospect’s current coverage and exposures loss experience and analyzes risk to determine the product/service requirements.
· Delivers and presents the PRM to prospects in person.
· Communicates client’s needs and binding instructions to carriers.
· Serves as primary contact for clients that are not transitioned to a Client Advisor. Responsible for overall account maintenance and account rounding.
· Provides proactive day-to-day client service, if applicable, by anticipating client needs and responding to client questions and issues in a timely manner.
Financial
· Develops proposals for prospects and performs all activities necessary to convert prospect to client.
· Creates and presents proposal to prospects and closes business.
· Generates referrals from prospects/clients.
· Utilizes the Applied system to ensure new business is being invoiced in a timely manner.
Colleague Capability
· Includes practice specialists as needed throughout the business development process to best manage prospect’s risk exposure.
· Works with Office Head or Sales Professional to grow and expand referral sources and accompanies them to client visits as appropriate.
· Orchestrates a seamless client development plan working with Office Head, Sales Professional or Sales Associate and Client Advisor as appropriate.
· Utilizes Applied to ensure new business is being invoiced in a timely manner.
Process
· Incorporates and regularly practices techniques introduced through Sales Training to continuously enhance skills and related performance.
· Completes funnel and other internal information tracking reports as required.
· Utilizes the Applied system in an accurate and timely manner to enter and maintain certain account information.
· Ensures that all regulatory requirements are met and complies with all internal policies and procedures.
· Other duties as assigned.
