Account Executive - 105

Sales professional with established experience in closing complex sales transactions for software and services to major accounts in the financial services industry. The ideal candidate should already have a strong network of contacts in place within the major financial institutions in New York, West Coast and other US locations and have access to customer relationships at the highest levels of these organizations. 

- Identifying, pursuing, and closing sales opportunities within the financial services industry mainly in New York, West Coast and other US locations.
- Execute against revenue targets for assigned territory in order to grow revenue and market share.
- Analyzing client’s technical and business requirements and defining strategies for implementing company’s best of class software technology.
- Prospecting amongst existing and potential accounts for opportunities to sell company’s solutions.
- Preparing written internal selling plans and external proposals in response to customer queries and formal requests for proposals.
- Analyzing customers information processing requirements and defining a sales strategy to present company’s solution to address those requirements.
- Cultivate strategic business relationships with potential customers and establish executive level engagement for recurring sales opportunities.
- Understand the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats within the region relating to the company’s products and services.
- Contribute to the formulation of the sales strategy to ensure that products and services meet the market needs of the region.
- Professionally represent the organization according to company’s cultural and business principles and co-operate with all team members.

SALARY RANGE (including bonus):  Base in range of $120,000 - 130,000, bonus in range of $5-10,000 with remainder being potential sales commissions.  Total comp up to $250,000 depending on qualifications and salary history.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Strong proven track record of achievement in high value, long sales cycle, complex software sales to the financial services sector.
- Minimum 8 years experience of best practice business development methodologies involving prospecting for and qualifying appropriate business opportunities, managing long complex sales processes and constructing successful business cases.
- Good knowledge of financial markets, players and operations.
- Experience with Asset Managers and Investment Banks/ Broker Dealers is required.
- Capital markets experience is also desirable.
- An understanding of reference data and data flow within investment banks and asset managers is important, especially with respect to Enterprise Data Management challenges and solutions.
- Understanding of client’s business plans, licensing fees and complications which can arise on the contractual side.
- Familiarity with perpetual license and recurring revenue models is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of the IT market and some knowledge of the Enterprise Data Management would be advantageous
- Enthusiastic and energetic with a mature self starter approach, technically aware with a consultative solution selling style.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong judgment and negotiation skills.
- Excellent PC skills with proficiency in MS Office applications.
