JOB DESCRIPTION

Our growing software client is the leading independent provider of data virtualization software. Global organizations including 10 of the top 20 banks, five of the top ten pharmaceuticals, leading energy, media, and technology companies along with U.S. Defense and Intelligence agencies, use their technology to integrate disparate data--regardless of location or source format--and fulfill critical information needs, faster with fewer resources.


 


In this role as a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for the sale of the data virtualization and EII products and services into the Federal government’s


Department of Defense as the primary market.


 


Duties for this position include but are not limited to: ability to evangelize and market an emerging and leading-edge technology into a new territory with no previous pipeline;


 


Identifying opportunities and positioning the software solutions to client requirements and responsibility for the development of RFI and RFP submittals;


 


Developing business opportunities with Federal Systems Integrators and other alliance and reselling partners as required; developing, enhancing, and managing prospect and client interactions to foster relationships at all levels of the agencies assigned; and closing business to exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue objectives.


 


The highly motivated and self-starter will be somebody who works well with not only their sales peers but the overall support organization as a whole, including marketing, pre-sales and professional services.


 


The ability to foster a strong relationship internally will help to ensure full and timely revenue recognition and satisfied clients within the Federal arena which is our # 1 goal.


 


Required Skills:


 


 ·  7+ years of successful experience selling enterprise software solutions/middleware technologies directly into Navy, Army, and/or Department of Defense agencies required.


·  A solid and recent track record of success (most recent 3-5 years exceeding quota) is a must


·  Demonstrated success in capturing new business


·  Senior level contacts and relationships essential


·  Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English


·  Must be able to accurately forecast on an on-going basis (Salesforce.com knowledge is helpful)


·  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing (or other relevant Bachelor’s


degree) required


·  No security clearance required but a plus
