Vice President of Sales
Our client is a green utility energy provider and we are conducting a search for a Boston or New York based VP of Sales. This young, growing public company is looking for an energetic, hands on selling manager in this executive leadership role.
We are looking for someone from an energy service company, facilities management firm, energy equipment company or the response arena. You must be a chief closer and rain maker with experience selling in the NYC marketplace. It is critical that you have active relationships in NY within multi site facilities like hospitals, nursing homes, schools, residential and commercial buildings, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct direct sales of energy purchase contracts; multi-unit business / multi-year contracts (large property developments, for example)
• Put together strategic growth plan and implement it
• Pursue key markets and applications in target accounts through a highly consultative sales approach
• Demonstrate knowledge of the following markets: residential, property management, healthcare and hospitality
• Proven history of successfully selling services to the executive or “C” level (CEO, COO, CFO, etc.)
• Ability to effectively communicate high-level financial terms
• Basic understanding of energy systems and pricing. Working knowledge of mechanical energy systems such as cogeneration and boilers. Comfortable in the “boiler room” environment of buildings
• Must be disciplined, self-motivated and entrepreneurial
• Conduct 20% of business from home office while requiring local travel to maximize coverage of prime business opportunities
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Travel – currently heavy Northeast and will grow nationally after time
• Base compensation up to $150 with potential to $300K++ if successful with larger prospects. Generous Stock Options
