Global manufacturer seeks a "back-up" for the Northeast Regional Manager. Individual selected will have:
Received promotions/growth within one company;
Track record of increasing sales and market share;
Sales management experience-overseeing 3+ field based sales representatives; and
Be a strategic thinker.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Growing sales faster than the market growth rate and achieving sales objectives.
2. Successfully develop and implement local programs in promoting Company products.
3. Train and educate contractors on Company products, their application and key benefits.
4. Participation in product demo days, road shows, contractor fly-ins, tradeshows and regional meetings.
5. Develop and execute sales and training efforts with the Distributor Manager, Area Specification Managers and key distributors to secure Company sales.
6. Make field visits to sites in order to sell, educate and/or troubleshoot.
7. Strive to differentiate Company from its competitors by providing superior customer service, high visibility and aggressive call coverage cycle.
8. Assist the Product Managers in determining product needs.
9. Maintain and utilize contractor data base for direct marketing and communication efforts.
10. This position requires approximately 30% overnight travel and office out of ther home.
Minimum Qualifications
B.A. or B.S. degree
Five years sales experience and a poven ability to sell.
Strong selling, communication and general business skills.
Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets and database applications.
Desired Qualifications
MBA or graduate degree
Ability to communicate in Spanish (written and verbal), not required but desired.
Sales Management experience
Will not relocate. Must live in New York City, Connecticut or New Jersey.
