Job Description:
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a pipeline of strategically relevant business opportunities related to Federal Health IT, specifically focusing on Health and Human Services
- Key contributor to Federal Health IT market analyses
- Develop and implement customer contact plans
- Leverage existing partnerships for additional revenue growth and increased efficiencies
- Develop broad, collaborative relationships with internal Harris and external customer and vendor community stakeholders
- Effectively execute the Business Acquisition Process – ID and qualify new business. Lead pursuit, pre-proposal and proposal in accordance with the Business Acquisition Process
- Effectively make decisions regarding the profitability and achievability of pursuits
- Establish and implement the HHS business strategy and objectives
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent and 15 years of Business Development experience with at least 5 years of successful BD directly supporting Health and Human Services
- Detailed insight into federal health agency technical infrastructure / technology and related programs
- Demonstrated proficiency with HHS strategy and acquisition plans / established HHS decision maker relationships
- Proven track record of success winning HHS business
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Demonstrated proficiency establishing and maintaining executive and project level client relationships – special emphasis on existing HHS technical and business relationships
- Self-starter with tenacity and diplomacy – committed to making a difference delivering win-win value to the HHS and Harris
- Understanding of the HHS procurement organization and processes
- Ability to influence senior management and partners through the use of creative problem solving and demonstrated subject matter credibility
- Ability to identify and manage risks/mitigations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
