Job Description/Responsibilities:
This position requires and experienced Government, National Sales Manager skilled at selling industrial products and service solutions to the Federal Government. This candidate will have the responsibility which Identifies, researches and/or qualifies targeted Federal Government account prospects from the field to prospective customer corporate headquarters. This candidate will communicate all aspects of newly prospected Government opportunities to the proper Regional/Local Government Account Managers and National Service Centers within the organization around the U.S. to ensure proper development, penetration and maintenance of new agreements.
The Government, National Sales Manager will identify decision makers to develop business opportunities in both US governmental sectors. He/she will also clarify and qualify opportunities, develop proposals, and make formal presentations to potential clients. The Manager will also identify opportunities where the company can work jointly with government agencies to develop or improve product lines.
Required Skills/Education/Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business or the equivalent is required. Minimum of six years industrial/manufacturing/distributing sales experience and National Account sales experience is required. Must have experience calling on the “Federal Government” on a Multi-State Basis. Must have proven Track record of attaining new business on a National Basis. Additional qualifications include:
