JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Development Manager will focus on proactive growth of current QuickBase customers. In this strategic sales role, the BDM will be calling in to small workgroups of large organizations and using a variety of skills to uncover, encourage, spawn, and drive growth throughout the organization. The role will include aspects of consultative sales, account management, relationship building, product training, and business consulting. There will be aspects of inside sales "hunting" as well as outside sales "closing."
Responsibilities:
You will generate new business within an assigned territory of existing enterprise customers. In doing so, you will be responsible for driving strategic, enterprise-wide initiatives within current customers in order to spread QuickBase growth from the initial injection point throughout the organization. This may include driving growth across groups, as well as up through an organization, leading to C&VP level discussions. You must be able to forecast sales activity and revenue achievement, while creating satisfied customers. Additional responsibilities include the following:
• To achieve/exceed an annual/quarterly sales quota
• To thoroughly qualify all leads & sales opportunities
• To leverage business from new & established relationships
• To strategize, negotiate & close business
• To quickly identify and communicate the customers business needs and QuickBases potential solutions
• To work well on an "extended" team - including inside sales, support, marketing, external developers, product marketing, etc.
Qualifications: • Software & applications sales experience - preferably SAAS sales
• Consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goals
• Successful history of net new business sales a must
• Experience with complex sales cycles of 3-6 months
• Experience selling to VP & C-level executives
• Understanding of how to maneuver through Large Organizational structures
• Experience closing business via phone and face to face
• Willingness to travel up to 30%
