Successful applicants will possess an industry reputation for competence, professionalism, integrity, and a passion for winning. Job Responsibilities:
  • Under limited direction, prospecting and closing Government and specific vertical accounts against established competition to meet and exceed assigned quota.
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships at all levels of the customer organization as appropriate, departmental through line of business and CxO.
  • Establish key relationships with Government consultants and integrators
  • Quickly establish and/or renew relationships with key government agencies, influencers and leaders that will help speed the adoption of Panasas products.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong “rolodex” of top officials,  decision makers and influencers
  • Assimilating specific vertical market background, requirements, and infrastructure attributes, and applying this knowledge to sell targeted solutions.
  • Driving account strategies to close business on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Managing multiple customers and opportunities
  • Driving referenceable customer satisfaction in all assigned accounts.
  • Evangelizing Panasas’ breakthrough solution to customers, partners, and associates.
  • Contributing to the Panasas culture--inspiring teammates by example.
Required Skills:
  • Consistent track record of revenue growth in an enterprise environment while maintaining customer loyalty and required product margins.
  • Strong experience managing multi-tiered customer and partner relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to penetrate and close new accounts and opportunities.
  • History of successful partner engagement—demonstrated ability to work with VARs, SIs, and ISVs/IHVs to meet customer requirements.
  • Knowledge of the computer industry, especially networking and storage products. Successful experience selling a new technology is a huge plus.
  • Detailed knowledge on Government contract vehicles, purchasing cycles, and bid processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively from a home-office location.
  • Competitive, refuse-to-lose attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent team building and influencing skills.
  • A commitment to having (and helping others have) fun!
 Experience Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience selling enterprise storage, networking, and/or systems solutions for high-performance and scientific computing applications to Military and Civilian Government agencies.
  • Significant contacts in key Government agencies including DOE, DOD, NIH, HHS, FDA.
  • Established contacts with major Government VARs and SIs.
  • Demonstrable track record of significant Government wins.
